• Baragaland Seniors Potluck, noon Baragaland Senior Citizens Center. The Baragaland Senior Center will host a potluck at noon. Baraga County Memorial Hospital CEO Rob Stowe Rob Stowe will provide some updates about the hospital.

• Community Jam Session, 7-8:30 p.m. Keweenaw Storytelling Center, Calumet. Musicians of all abilities and ages are invited to participate in a community jam session at the Keweenaw Storytelling Center in Calumet. All musical genres are welcome. Come ready to play your own original music or a selection to play, or just play along with fellow musicians. Musicians sit in a circle and take turns performing while fellow musicians are invited to play along. This event is free, but donations are appreciated.

February 13

• Art ‘n’ Chill Teen Art Club, 4 p.m. Location: Portage Lake District Library, Houghton. The Art ‘n’ Chill Teen Art Club at the Portage Lake District Library gives teens a chance to explore traditional art media.

February 14

• South Range 4th of July Committee Presents the 14th Annual Valentine’s Day Dance at the Range Lounge in South Range. Dance is from 7 – 11 p.m. with a $5 entry fee. Live Music by Slick Nickel along with 50/50 raffles and gift basket drawings. Find us on Facebook @ South Range 4th of July Committee.

• UP Wild Gathering, 3 p.m. Nara Nature Park. The UP Wild Gatherings are opportunities to connect with God and each other within our natural world. Each Gathering has a leader who will guide the participants through readings and reflection. The Gathering will be indoors with an outdoor component. Snowshoes and cross-country skis are welcome. The Gatherings are appropriate for all ages, including families and children. Everyone is welcome, no religious affiliation is necessary.

February 15

• Let’s Eat Community Meal, 4 – 5:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chassell. The menu will be pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, cole slaw, and dessert and beverages. The sponsor for this month is the Houghton Walmart Store. The store will also provide the team to cook and serve the meal.

• Winter is Better Together Parent Café, 5:30 – 7 p.m. Tree House Offices at Trinity Episcopal Church (Upper Parking Lot Entrance) 205 E. Montezuma Ave. Houghton, MI 49931. Free admission! All families are welcome to join Tree House Family Resources for a FREE Winter-Themed Parent Café at our Tree House Offices (Upper Parking Lot Entrance). Enjoy a welcoming space to connect with other parents and caregivers while sharing stories, ideas, and encouragement. A light meal and childcare will be provided.
