Free Virtual Parenting Class in the Copper Country

Dial Help is offering Guiding Good Choices, a free class for parents and caregivers of youth age 9 to 14. Guiding Good Choices offers a chance to learn skills for family management, including: Reducing adolescent problem behaviors, increasing communication skills, improving parent/guardian/child interactions and bonding, and teaching adolescents to resist peer influences.

Classes will be held on Zoom on Wednesdays from May 27 to June 24, 6 to 8 p.m. Participants who complete all five classes will receive a $50 grocery card. To register, contact Chris Schuldt at cschuldt@dialhelp.org.

“Guiding Good Choices is a really great program for any parent or guardian of middle-schoolers,” said Chris Schuldt, Prevention Coordinator at Dial Help. “It’s only two hours a week for five weeks, so you get a lot out of a small commitment. We encourage people to register and ask a friend to join too.”

Guiding Good Choices is provided in partnership with local Communities That Care (CTC) coalitions and funded by NorthCare Network. Learn more about Dial Help at www.dialhelp.org, about the CTCs at www.UPCNetwork.org, and about NorthCare at www.northcarenetwork.org.
