At the Oct. 12 remote meeting of the Charter Township Board of Trustees, conducted the first reading of proposed Ordinance 148, “Adult Use/Recreational Marihuana Facilities”. The following paragraph outlines the intent of Ordinance 148.

At the first reading held on October 12, the Twp. Board of Trustees authorized the following Marihuana facilities; Class A, Class B, and Class C Growers, Microbusiness, Processors, Retailers, Safety Compliance Facilities, and Secure Transporters in unlimited numbers. At this meeting the allowed locations for those facilities were also determined and were based on the Township’s Zoning Manual’s Zoning Districts. A State and Local Operating license will be required plus Planning Commission review for any new business will be needed. Permit fees, violations and penalties were also established at the first reading.
