2021 Community Mental Health Careers Scholarship Award recipients

HOUGHTON — The Rice Memorial Clinic Foundation is very pleased to publicize the Community Mental Health Careers Scholarship Award Recipients.

— Abigail Beaudoin, Lake Linden-Hubbell Public School

— Abigail Nankervis, L’Anse High School

— Katie Fredrickson, Ontonagon High School

The Rice Memorial Clinic Foundation Board unanimously approved additional scholarships for previous award recipients. Thus, in addition to the 10 high school graduates listed above, 10 previous Community Mental Health Careers Scholarship recipients, including two 2018 recipients, five 2019 recipients and three 2020 recipients.

Community Mental Health professionals provide a wide range of services to individuals and families in the community who are living with the challenges of mental and developmental disabilities. Careers with significant opportunities in community mental health include: occupational therapy, psychology, social work, speech/language pathology, physical therapy and nursing.

The Rice Memorial Clinic Foundation compliments all recipients of the scholarship on their achievements and wishes them continued success as they pursue their professional goals.
