Kevin N. Store, Executive Director of the Portage Health Foundation (PHF), will be the Forum speaker on Aug. 8 for the Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The link for the virtual program on Zoom may be requested from worship@keweenawuu.org

Kevin will present the Foundation’s primary objectives – food insecurity, access to education, addressing poverty, and mental and behavioral health, to name a few – and will share information regarding the progress being made in each of PHF strategic areas. Additionally, Kevin will provide some general updates on the status of PHF and what is coming.

The Portage Health Foundation, established in 1990, received the proceeds from the sale of the Portage Health hospital in 2013 and was converted from a hospital foundation to a 501(c)(3) charitable community organization whose mission is to support the charitable health needs of Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties. PHF continues to invest a portion of its earnings each year from the capital assets for the perpetual benefit of the community.”
