Crash in downtown Houghton

Houghton police look at the aftermath of a two-vehicle crash on Montezuma Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. Monday afternoon. The crash occurred when a pickup truck merged onto Montezuma after going the wrong way on a one-way street, striking another vehicle that drove onto the sidewalk, said Houghton Police Chief John Donnelly. There were minor injuries in the crash. Donnelly did not anticipate anyone being cited in the crash, but said the investigation was ongoing.
