COPPER HARBOR — Thomas Dale Jones “TJ” , 78, of Copper Harbor, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, after a battle with cancer, at Nu Roc Health & Rehabilitation Center in Laona, Wisconsin. Tom was born on October 3, 1947, to the late Clifford Jones and Stella (Swenski) Jones. He attended schools in Stambaugh, Michigan, and proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. Son of Willam and Alma Ruikka, survived by wife Carol, son Daran, grandson Ian and brother Robert. Milt moved to Phoenix AZ and became successful in real estate sales and investment. HOUGHTON — Patricia Ann Paavola, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Omega House in Houghton, Michigan, after a courageous 12-year battle with lung cancer. In keeping with Pat’s wishes, a graveside service to honor her life and memory will be held for family and close friends on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 11:00am in Section V of Lake View Cemetery in Calumet, Michigan with Pastor Jared Howard officiating. LAKE LINDEN — Helen M. Sedar, 91, a resident of Woodhaven Canal View and formerly of Maple Lane Apartments in Lake Linden passed away at Woodhaven with family at her bedside on August 5. Helen was born on November 25, 1934 to Oney and Anna Sedar of Cedar Bay. She was a graduate of Calumet High School. Helen provided many years of cleaning and companion services for local residents.
