Faith Perspective: Prepare for a new beginning

Biblical faith is hard to understand unless a person is a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, because a nonbeliever is spiritually dead they cannot understand spiritual truths. When I was born again, the Holy Spirit along with my new born-again spirit dwells in me and teaches me all spiritual truth, guides me and protects me. I am a brand-new creation born from above. God showed his love for me through Jesus.

Many people get stuck when reading the Old Testament. They believe God is still mad at us; that’s not true. Jesus changed everything. We now live in the New Testament; spiritually we are not living under the curse of the law but under the grace of God through faith. And the earth is still cursed; we are living in a fleshy body and have free will.

Sin was the reason God was angry with mankind. Adam really messed things up: lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and price overcame mankind and God destroyed the whole earth and all living things, except Noah, his family and animals.

With a new beginning, mankind didn’t do any better so God gave them the laws all 613 of them; break them and you will be cursed, as the earth is, keep them and be blessed.

As we know now it’s impossible to keep the law of the Old Testament but because God loved mankind so much he gave us one more chance. God came to earth in the form of a man (Jesus). As in John 1:1-2 says “In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, the Word was God. … He (Jesus) was in the beginning with God.” Verse 2 is describing as it is written in the Book of Genesis 1:1: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Did you get it? With Jesus coming to earth was God’s way of telling mankind I’m giving you a new beginning; don’t screw it up like Adam did.

Don’t let religion get in your way. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today when Jesus returns, life as we know it and this earth will be gone. Read the book of Revelation; heaven and hell are real places. It’s your choice; judgment is coming soon.
