No DeJoy

To the editor: The USPS has now (as of Ootober 1) activated its plot, or scheme, to deliberately delay mail. NO, this is not a paranoid “conspiracy theory.” It is publicized. It is a matter of public record. That Postmaster DeJoy has promised not to retreat from his plan may be a sign of cynicism, or savoring his own capacity for indifference. What is clear is that the plan will not only push more hardship on people, but, particularly in the case who receive prescriptions by mail order, be a matter of life and death.

Squirrel and Roe v. Wade

To the editor: Warm greetings. Yesterday I saw a squirrel get run over by a car. It raises a question about when life begins and when life ends. According to Pro-Life, life begins at conception, and a heart murmur occurs at six weeks as God begins his wonderful, cozy warm 9-month assembly line of “knitting us together in our mother’s womb.” (Psalm 119:13) Since everyone agrees that death is the ending of life because we cease breathing, does it not follow that life begins when breath begins? To be or not to be

To the editor: To abort or not to abort, that is the question. The main purposes of religion is to give a rationale of why we are here, how we should live our lives, and where we might go after we leave this mortal coil. The latter requires the existence of a soul (some essence) that survives us after death. To propose that humans have a soul is an extraordinary claim. If we have a soul, do other animals have a soul? Society’s downfall?

To the editor: Have you been looking at the world lately in astonishment? Can you really believe the downfall of society that we are seeing on the news everyday? Everything has changed. Things are not “normal” anymore. Here’s the thing, God created human beings so that He could express His love outside the heavenly realm, but He had to give them free will so that they could freely love Him back.  There is no genuine love without free will. Secure the Vote is not

To the editor: I have written very few Letters to the Editor over the many years I’ve been fortunate enough to be on this planet. I am moved to write this one because of my concerns about the integrity of our electoral process and what seems to me to be a deliberate attempt on the part of a group called “Secure the Vote” to bypass the will of the electorate in the state of Michigan.
