Area football players make U.P. All-Star teams ahead of June contest

Lake Linden-Hubbell head football coach Andy Crouch was chosen as head coach of the Black Team for the 2020 U.P. All-Star game.

The Red and Black teams include 11 players from area teams, including Crouch’s son, a senior and Michigan Tech recruit Carter Crouch.

LL-H’s Caleb Gregoire and Josh Suhonen join Crouch on the Black team. Lakes teammate Jesse Hill is on the Red team, coached by St. Ignace’s Iffer Marshall.

Hancock coach Chris Salani is on Andy Crouch’s staff on the Black team.

Other areas on the Black team include L’Anse’s Jaden DeMink and Jonah Dowd, Hancock’s Colton Salani and Calumet’s Alex Studebaker.

The Red team includes Calumet’s Jayden Gariepy, Scott Loukus and Will Twardzik.

The U.P. All-Star game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, June 27 at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
