HANCOCK — Dominic Duprie (Ecorse, Mich.) has committed to play for the Finlandia University baseball team.

“I’m very happy to add Dominic to our incoming class. He is an outfielder from Michigan that has an extremely high ceiling,” Finlandia head coach Evan Brandt said. “Dominic is a work horse and high character young man. Defensively he will provide great speed and a great arm in the outfield. Dominic has the ability to cover a lot of ground out there and use his athleticism to his advantage. Offensively he has a very compact and strong swing. Dominic will be a very tough out and a competitive at bat. His athleticism will play offensively as well as we will look to him to be on base and scoring runs within our lineup. Dominic is also very versatile within a lineup having the tools to hit in multiple spots.”

Duprie is among 17 total players so far in the Lions’ freshmen class.
