TAPIOLA — Tapiola and Houghton scored Over 50 Softball League wins Thursday.

Tapiola moved its record to 2-2 on the year by edging South Range (5-4). Len Juntunen was the winning pitcher, while Joe Rossi took the loss.

Andy Heikkinen rapped out three hits for the winners, while Roy Duquette, Mike Roth and Trudy Duquette had two each.

Ryan Anderson, Jim Pollard and Rossi counted two hits each Range (2-2).

First-place Houghton rapped out 21 hits in a 19-3 win over Baraga in the other game. Jed Pollard ripped four hits and Dave Usitalo added three for Houghton (4-0).

Steve Dunstan gave up just five hits in winning it. Mitch Lake took the loss for Baraga (0-4).
