HOUGHTON — The Central Collegiate Hockey Association announced Friday afternoon that Michigan Tech’s series against Northern Michigan was postponed.

The conference announced the postponement due to health and safety precautions within Northern Michigan’s hockey program, but didn’t disclose further details.

Rescheduled dates were not released, but the CCHA said it will work with both schools to determine if and when the games will be rescheduled.

Michigan Tech’s weekends are booked with CCHA matchups through the end of the regular season. The CCHA Mason Cup quarterfinals begin March 4, leaving mid-week games as the only option.

Michigan Tech said all tickets purchased for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday games will transfer to the new dates when announced. Refunds will be honored up to 24 hours before the new dates.
