The Houghton FC U14 co-ed team won the co-ed division on Saturday, Feb. 3, in Marquette at the NMU Superior Dome Soccer Tournament. The team includes Olavi Lautala, Ansel Lautala, Matthew Labovsky, Lincoln Nadeau, Daichi Minakata, Eli Bennett, Evan Tufte, Ben Northey, Tyler Rule, Finley Matteson, and Porter Dellinger. MARQUETTE — The Houghton FC U12 and U14 select soccer teams had a successful visit to Marquette on Saturday, Feb. 3, to participate in the NMU Superior Dome Soccer Tournament.
The U14 team won their co-ed division by defeating the Wisconsin Lady Loons in overtime.
The U12 boys team placed as runners-up in their division after a hard-fought defeat to Wisconsin United in the finals.
