The Portage Lake Little League Minors softball team finished second in the state tournament Tuesday in Cheboygan, Michigan. Portage Lake defeated Grosse Point in the semifinal, 17-6, before falling in the championship game to Georgetown, 10-0. The team includes Avery Pietila, Allie Mettlach, Anna Hanson, Reagan Riley, Miina Heinonen, McKinley Soli, Kylie Helminen, Ivy Biekkola, Hadley Koski, and Ivy Markham.
