Gremlins girls top Flivvers

HOUGHTON — In a battle to the final buzzer, the Houghton Gremlins girls held off the Kingsford Flivvers Thursday to win 40-36 at the Houghton gym. Ruby Zawada led the Gremlins with 13 points. Ellie Hainault nearly had a double-double, as she put up 10 points and had eight rebounds. Aubrie Moore led all scorers with 21 points for the Flivvers. Cassie Olson added 12.
