AI stocks resume their drops and drag markets lower worldwide

NEW YORK — The roller-coaster ride for AI stocks is snapping lower again Tuesday and weighing on Wall Street. The S&P 500 fell 0.7% even though the majority of stocks within the index rose. The drops for stocks in the artificial-intelligence industry dragged the Nasdaq down 1.5%, as of 11:20 a.m. Eastern time, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 206 points, or 0.4%. Meth conspirator sentenced 

HOUGHTON — 42-year old Houghton County man Joshua LaCasse was sentenced to serve 9 to 20 years in a Michigan state prison Monday for delivery and manufacturing of methamphetamine.  LaCasse was arraigned in February on one count of delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine, one count of racketeering and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. LaCasse pleaded guilty to the meth-related charge.
