• Houghton Farmers Market, 3 – 6 p.m. Downtown Pier
July 16
• Copper Country Mental Health offices in Baraga, Ontonagon, & Calumet will close at 10 a.m. and the main office in Houghton will close at 11 a.m. Regular business hours will resume on July 17. The crisis line, 1-800-526-5059, will remain open & access calls will be returned the next day.
• Houghton Summer Slam Concert, 7 – p.m. Houghton Downtown Pier. Music by Split Shyft. Please bring a chair and any refreshments you’d like to enjoy.
• Calumet Theatre Summer Concert. 7:30 p.m. Tonight’s music features Cathy Bolton and Friends.
July 17
• L’Anse Lakefront Concert, 7 p.m. at lakefront park at the foot of Broad Street at the Lake. Tonight’s concert is an Aura Jamboree Preview. There is limited seating, so bring a chair or blanket to sit back and enjoy the good sounds, good vibes and million-dollar view. The L’Anse Twp School Cafetorium will be used in case of inclement weather.

• Gay Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxilliary Bazaar and Sales. Noon to 3 p.m. Gay Community Hall, 8878 Second Street, Gay. A free will donation lunch will be available. Come have lunch with friends and take home some deals.
July 26
• Hancock Central High School class of 1963 get together Saturday, 12:30 p.m. at Gino’s Restaurant. Pizza, soft drinks and beer provided. All classmates are welcome. contact Carl Kukkonen, Kukkonen@cox.net, 626-695-9250.
August 2
•Houghton High School Alumni Association will host a Pancake Breakfast, with Silent Pie & gift basket auction,8:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Houghton High School. Menu includes, choice of traditional, blueberry & Shelby’s Finnish pancakes, Vollwerth’s sausage, fruit & beverage, $10 donation & tickets are available from the pancake breakfast alumni committee members, B & B Bar and at the door. The pie auction will feature pies baked by Alumnus representing class eras, and gift baskets with a variety of items
