SDH holding contest for official project logo

HOUGHTON — The Michigan Tech University Sustainability Demonstration House is in search of an official project logo.

Interested people are invited to submit logo designs for the SDH project. SDH has over $60 in prizes available, including gift cards to two local businesses: Refill U.P. and the Keweenaw Co-op.

The winner will also receive a T-shirt with the winning logo on it. The logo will be framed and displayed with the artist’s name at the Sustainability Demonstration House. They will also get a shoutout on SDH’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

The SDH is looking for a logo that is visually clean and easy to understand. Artists should keep the focus of the SDH — sustainable living — in mind when creating their logo. The winner will be determined by the full SDH team, past and present tenants and the online community.

Anyone can enter the competition.

The logo must say “SDH” or “Sustainability Demonstration House.” It must also be limited to four colors, and must be able to be converted into a vector image. Offensive or inappropriate logos will be disqualified.

Logos can be submitted to https://forms.gle/wZ8j8WtbYPAaarQV6. Entries are due by Aug. 14.

Anyone with questions can email sdh@mtu.edu or send a direct message to @mtu.sdh on instagram.
