Lost woman found safe

MARQUETTE -- The Marquette County Search and Rescue team was called out late Sunday after receiving a report of a missing woman in the area of the Hogsback Recreation Area. According to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, a 26-year-old Marquette woman, who had been hiking in the area of Hogsback at around 8:55 p.m. Sunday, became disoriented while running and was unable to find her way back to the parking lot. A sheriff’s office press release details that after many unsuccessful attempts to contact someone via cell phone, contact was made and 911 emergency calls were connected. ...
