Mr. Greg Sudderth, Chair of the Upper Peninsula Sustainable Forest and Wildlife Fund (UPSF & W) Grants Committee, announced today the recipients of their October 2019 Grants Round. Those receiving grants are the Michigan Society of American Foresters – BeLeaf It or Not! and the Northwood Alliance, Inc. – Wildcat Falls Community Forest.

Committee Chair Shudderth stated, “We feel privileged and honored to be a committee under the guidance of such a wonderful organization such as the Community Foundation of the Upper Peninsula. It is our mission to foster a better understanding of our forests and wildlife as well as assist U.P. residents, including our youth, to become more active and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible”.

The Upper Peninsula Sustainable Forest and Wildlife Fund Committee announced the next open grant round will start Jan. 31, 2020 and all grant requests and requirements must be received by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
