It has become very evident that the President of the United States (POTUS) is leading a basically ineffective response to the current pandemic. Fortunately, three excellent healthcare professionals are affording the POTUS vital, informed, and accurate information. The Governor of New York is providing the American people with the most accurate, realistic, and reassuring view of the pandemic and its consequences.

The most disturbing news is that the states have to fight each other in bidding wars to get the absolutely necessary equipment and supplies needed to effectively engage this virus. The failure of the Commander in Chief to step in and invoke his authority to remedy this situation is appalling. Instead, he passes the buck to the states to fend for themselves. This is just one case of malpractice on his part. While the vice president is perhaps well-intentioned, he is serving only as an enabler to an ill-informed and ineffective POTUS.

I realize that now is not a good time to be political to make a point. However, if eight people are rowing a racing boat and one of the people is rowing out of sync and in the wrong direction, it destroys the forward momentum of the vessel. This is what is happening currently with the POTUS. He is not dealing with reality. Fortunately, there are some experts that are trying to neutralize his ineffectual leadership. Listen to the voices of scientific specialists that deal in facts and facts only. Stay safe!
