Support for John Sullivan
To the editor:
I am writing to endorse John Sullivan for Houghton City Council and to encourage other residents of the City to vote for him as well. He is hard-working, fair, and civic minded. John has served on the Keweenaw National Historical Park Advisory Commission and was active in the Quincy Mine Hoist Association, Copper Country Firefighters Museum and Quincy Smelter Association. He has also sat on non-profit and community boards such as the Portage Health Hospital Board, United Way and Kiwanis. John is no stranger to the problems that face our small municipalities in the Upper Peninsula and he has worked hard to fix those problems. As the former President of U.P. Engineers and Architects, John has worked with and advised dozens of communities across the Upper Peninsula, Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. He understands the unique challenges that these communities face and has worked with legislators in both Lansing and Washington to address them. In short, John has the capability, knowledge and experience that we need in our local leadership. I am proud to give him my vote and ask that you do the same.
