This letter is in response to a recent writer desiring an explanation of why God allows evil to exist of planet Earth. Obviously, this person looks only for sinful results in both the Bible and our world to support his anti-God belief.

The writer is correct is acknowledging evil, but I believe he attributes this to the wrong person. Man is the culprit not God. Yes, Adam and Eve’s disobedience was mankind’s downfall.

As for Satan (Lucifer), he was originally created as the highest of all angels. Note three facts about angels: they weren’t created in the image of God, couldn’t reproduce and all were male.

It was Satan, appearing as a serpent, who planted doubt in Eve’s mind with his “Yea, hath God said.” Pride overcame Satan, and he wanted to be God himself (read Isaiah 14:12-14).

I believe that the KJV Bible is the inerrant Word of God because of the original manuscripts written by apostles, prophets, etc., written over 2,000 years ago. Read 2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 2 Peter 1:20-21. God’s Word will endure forever.
