Eternal life comes through learning, understanding

Skeptics have false ideas about the Bible, so they shouldn’t criticize what they don’t understand.

God made humans with free will, not as robots incapable of making mistakes. What we learn and choices we make prepare us for eternity as creative and spiritually mature individuals.

The Bible doesn’t say that being a member of a church saves us from eternal death or gives us eternal life. Only God can do those things.

In his sermon on the mount, Jesus didn’t bless the doctrinally correct or those in the right group. The truth is very important and cults should be avoided, but Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

God will not punish people for being born in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong religion. All will be given a chance to have their sins forgiven and receive the gift of eternal life. (Ezekiel 37:11-14 tells about that destiny for unsaved Israelites who died long ago.)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

We can’t accept Jesus Christ as our savior until we know about his life, death and resurrection. God doesn’t reject those who don’t know the truth because they never learned it. You must be taught something correctly to understand it.

Some people are still evil after they learn the truth. Jesus was a perfect teacher and role model for his disciples, but one of them betrayed him for 30 pieces of silver. Judas was an accomplice in the cruel death of Jesus Christ.
