Abettors, seditionists

To the editor: Representative Jack Bergman, Representative Lisa McClain, Representative Tim Walberg, The only honorable course of action available to you is to vote to impeach Donald J Trump on Monday and then immediately resign for your complicity in the acts of sedition that occurred in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021. Your actions have undermined the free and fair elections of the United States and for the first time in the history of this country a peaceful transfer of power was disrupted with violence, and the traitorous flag of the Confederacy was traipsed through the ...

Why I wear a mask

To the editor: I wear a mask because I care about my friends and neighbors. Because I care about my friends and neighbors, I care about their health. Because I care about their health, I don’t want them to get sick or die with Covid 19. And I know the best thing I can do as an individual to decrease the risk of catching Covid 19 and possibly giving it to someone else, causing them to get sick or die, is to wear a mask in public. I care about my friends and neighbors, so I wear a mask.

Bergman should resign

To the editor: To Those Concerned about US Capitol Attacks, After the horrific events of Wednesday, January 6, when thousands of domestic terrorists stormed the hallowed Capitol of the United States, we must stand again for the Constitution and the validity of the November 2020 election. These unprecedented times require a response from each one of us in our own ways: contact Representative Jack ...

Earlier in the pandemic, the governor was picking and choosing ‘nonessentials’ like seeds and fish, threatening sustainability.  Was that a precursor to what is ahead, given Henry Kissinger’s following thoughts?  “Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole ...

A party issue

To the editor: The media are calling for prosecution and punishment of the thugs who stormed our capitol on Jan. 6. Although I condemn their actions, I don’t believe they are thugs. There is a very high probability that most of them are decent law abiding people who care about this country but have been duped by a skillful huckster who has a knack for selling lies to people by telling them what they want to hear. These misguided victims of their leader’s scam have company in the 75 million Americans who voted for that huckster who cares only about himself. But if the ...
