SOUTH RANGE — The Jeffers Jets softball team outscored the visiting Gogebic Miners 55-4 over two games to close out their regular season with a sweep.

In the opener, Myra Pennala drove one deep in the fourth inning as the Jets scored 34 runs.

Madi Holombo struck out five batters over the four innings.

In the nightcap, Alia Palosaari hit a home run of her own in the fourth inning.

Holombo added a second home run on the night in the fifth. She also was solid on the mound, where she struck out two batters over two innings.
