Roundup: Little League action, scores from the week

Here’s a roundup of Little League action from the area this week:

June 16

Calumet Machine beat KBear 8-1. It was KBear’s first loss of the season. Oscar Loukus pitched for Calumet Machine, striking out eight and allowing just one run, a home run by Ethan Halonen, in 4 2/3 innings of work. Loukus hit an RBI triple in the first inning. Aaron Londo scored three runs for Calumet Machine. Max Wiseman pitched the last 1 1/3 innings for Calumet Machine. He also had an RBI. Brody Hylton tripled and scored for Calumet Machine.

June 14

KBear beat Mohawk Technology 17-1. Liam Debeaubien scored Ethan Halonen with a hit. John Kero led off for Mohawk Technology in the second and scored on a passed ball. KBear took control after that, adding five runs in the second. Halonen struck out six in the first two innings. He also doubled with an RBI and scored four times. Toby Johnson tripled, had two RBI and scored three times. He also pitched the third and fourth innings and struck out four. Debeaubien was 5 for 5, with five RBI. He also threw the last two innings and struck out four. KBear’s Ryder Harju and Niiko Johnson scored three times apiece. Harju had an RBI, and Johnson had two RBI. Joe Halonen had a three-run double and four RBI.

June 11

M&M Powersports beat Rajala’s Kitchen 17-16. M&M’s Alex Hebert and Dawson Larson pitched, combining for six strikeouts. Tyler Jaehnig was 4 for 5 for M&M with a home run and three singles and six RBI. Nate Thompson was 4 for 5 with four singles and three RBI. Dawson Seppala had a double and two singles, and Ryan Lorenz singled and tripled. Brayden Bain had two RBI. Rajala’s Kitchen pitchers Tanner Kilpela, Greyson Kilpela and Keedin Roberts combined for 12 strikeouts. Blake Helminen homered and singled. Conner Helminen singled three times. Damien Joupperi doubled and singled, and had three RBI. Keedin Roberts and Tanner Kilpela also had hits for Rajala’s Kitchen. Max Bier and Max Pietila both doubled.
