Superior National Bank defeated Crush/Diamond House International/Loading Zone 8-5 in Copper Country Women’s Fastpitch Softball League on Thursday.

The score was tied until the sixth inning when Superior National Bank scored three runs.

Rosalie Kangas got the win on the mound for SNB.

Kim Aho doubled and singled for SNB. Laina Kariniemi, Brielle Anderson, Brita Haataja and Dana Berg each singled.

Crush’s Sarah Audette doubled and had two singles. Laura Lyons tripled with two singles and Kara Kinnunen had two singles.

Superior Service 11, Tervo Agency 6

Superior Service scored all 11 runs in the third inning to overcome an early 4-0 deficit.

Reagan Moyle and Isabelle Cleary combined for the win on the mound.

Moyle led Superior Service with a double and single. Becca Markham doubled and singled.

Tervo’s Heather Huffmaster doubled, and Danielle Thoune, Jordan Rowe and Alana Nolan singled.

Olivia Wakeham, Mallory Sporalski and Mel Baker pitched for Tervo.

REL, Inc. 18, Northern Michigan Land Brokers 4

Northern Michigan Land Brokers took a 2-0 lead in the first. REL, Inc. sprang to life with a six-run second to take the lead for good.

Hannah Impola led REL, Inc. with two doubles and a single. Maddie Johnson had a triple and two singles. Morgan Erkkila had three singles.

For NMLB, Marissa Nordstrom had two singles. Laura Kangas and Rachel Larson singled.

Delaney Heinonen was the winning pitcher. Kangas took the loss.
