Giving Tuesday worth taking time to donate for

For the third year, the Portage Health Foundation is raiding money for local charities through its Giving Tuesday. The program that PHF has dubbed “Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is” is one where the PHF will match up to $100,000 total in donations made to local non-profits as part of Giving Tuesday, which will take place on Dec. 3. Giving Tuesday is held annually the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and is intended to be a bit of an altruistic alternative to the big shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which officially kick off the holiday season. NHL puts on great show

On Wednesday, former NHLer Jeremy Roenick and local historian Dr. Bill Sproule are going to be a part of the Red and Blue ...

The former walk-on, who spurned offers to play college hockey out east, has worked extemely hard every day in practice, leading his teammates to have no other option than to vote him into a leadership position this season. He will have some big shoes to fill. Being captain ...

They also attempted to fly another into the White House, but thanks to the brave efforts of those on Flight 93, that plane was brought down long before its intended destination. Our managing editor was born just 75 miles north of New York City. His father worked for the New York Botanical Garden before taking a job at Michigan Tech. Our ...
