To the Editor: I am not sure if the opioid money settlement relates to Purdue Pharmaceutical's long term relationship with doctors, over approximately 30-plus years, in which they assured doctors that opioids weren't addictive and encouraged them to prescribe them outrageously out of the bounds of common sense! At one point, I was aware of approximately 50 doctors in the Upper Peninsula who were censored due to over prescribing! Reader doesn’t like junkyard near home in Lake Linden

To the Editor: We had a junkyard pop up one day at the entrance to our little town. That was years ago and then it was cars from the flood. Now it is ugly garbage vehicles leaking oil, gas and various fluids straight into the very same ground that not that long ago was considered a highly polluted superfund site. Have we learned nothing? I can’t get an answer who even owns this eyesore. I am almost positive its not zoned for roadside open air junkyard and pollution center. To the Editor: What happens in a Middle School Cafeteria definitely doesn’t stay in a middle school. Today I experienced a medical emergency… during lunch hour… in the middle of the cafeteria. I can tell you, this is a very effective way to quiet down a large group of students. I am sharing my story because of my gratitude and appreciation for Hancock Middle School.
