March 7 • Quincy Shaft Snowshoe Hike, noon, Quincy Mine and Shaft. Snowshoe across the Quincy Mine landscape. A trail that takes guests around and through some of the mine's most prominent structures and ruins will be available for walking at any time throughout the day. An extended, guided hike is available free of charge at noon. Expect to learn more about the mine's history and the structures that are visited. Mission United Church invites the public to a free chili soup supper on Friday at 6 p.m. Breads, desserts and beverages will also be served. • Gospel Concert Fundraiser, 7 p.m. L'Anse Methodist Church. The concert will benefit the Baraga County Cancer Support Group. Music styles include county, gospel and bluegrass.
