Bridgefest seeking parade entries

HOUGHTON — Bridgefest 2022 is June 16-19, in Houghton and Hancock. This year's celebration includes the Bridgefest parade on June 19th at 7:05 p.m. The route begins in Hancock and proceeds over the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. It continues through downtown Houghton ending just past the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce office. This year’s parade theme is the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. Chassell Farmers Market kicks off Wednesday

CHASSELL — Starting on Wednesday, Chassell will now be hosting its own Farmers Market. The market will be on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Chassell Centennial Park Pavilion. Concert to benefit U.P. Honor Flight scheduled

HANCOCK — A Noteworthy "Together Again" Concert will be held at 7 p.m. June 9 at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock. The women's barbershop chorus Noteworthy performs audience favorites from its past concerts. Admission is free. A free-will collection will be taken to benefit U.P. Honor Flight.

Community garage sale scheduled for schools

STANTON TOWNSHIP — Stanton Township Schools will be hosting a community garage sale on June 4 at E.B. Holman School from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. as a fundraiser for the school. Spots are available for $10 each.  If you are interested in having a spot, contact Jessica at jhendrickson@stpsd.us.

Keweenaw ATV Club meeting set for June 6

HUBBELL — The next monthly meeting of the Keweenaw ATV Club will be held at 7 p.m. June 6 at the Hubbell VFW on M-26 in Hubbell. The group will discuss its adopt a trail program and trail maintenance.  New projects and old.  All new members welcome. 

Copper Country Great Start to host family event

BARAGA — On Saturday, The Copper Country Great Start Collaborative launches summer with a fun family event for families in Baraga County. The Start of Summer Celebration Resource Fair will feature nearly a dozen local community organizations with giveaways and information about their programs and services.
