Super Sunday is considered a national holiday by most NFL football fans. Even the most casual observer is probably going to at least catch the halftime show. Did you know that it’s the second-largest day for food consumption in the U.S. after Thanksgiving Day? So, Your Hometown Keweenaw Co-op is celebrating conference champions Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers with a free Super Beer Sampling on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

We’re also celebrating the big game with the Ultimate Nacho Challenge until Feb. 1. Each day you choose your favorite nacho toppings — Black vs Pinto Beans, Yellow vs Blue Corn Chips — sample in-store and follow us on Facebook to vote! We’ll serve free samples of the winning nachos with our free beer sampling.

Keweenaw Co-op is “kicking off” our Winter Ownership Drive for two weeks until Feb. 16— stop by and talk to one of our friendly Co-op Crew members about an ownership plan that works best for you. It’s also Ownership Appreciation Month and we’ll be offering owners their 10% discount on all regularly priced items for one shopping trip during the month of February — you choose the day! We’ll also be hosting representatives from Copper Country Senior Meals to discuss their local chapter of “Meals on Wheels” and chat about their selection to our Round U.P. program for February/March.
