Bay College photo Tregan Lippens, BPA Vice President, and Griffin Johnson, BPA President, present Becky Carey, Special Olympic Director, the $500 donation to the Local Area 1 Special Olympics program. The Special Olympians hold all 500 links made from the “Chain of Love” fundraiser.

ESCANABA, MI – The Bay College/LSSU Regional Center chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) student club raised $500 in donations for the Local Area 1 Special Olympics program of Delta, Schoolcraft, and Menominee counties through the “Chain of Love” fundraiser.

To participate in the “Chain of Love” fundraiser, the donator would write the name of a loved one on a link and add it to the chain. As a result, a long chain of love is created. The proceeds from this fundraiser helps to cover the costs associated with the Local Area 1 Special Olympics program, such as purchasing uniforms, equipment, and travel for all athletes.

Griffin Johnson, BPA President, states: “We want to thank the community for supporting our local Special Olympics program, and for sharing your generous chain of love!”
