BOIS BLANC ISLAND — On March 9, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Chippewa County Central Dispatch notified Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office of an active incident on Bois Blanc Island. CCCD advised that they were speaking to a 63-year-old female that resides on the island who was currently hiding inside of her residence because her 41-year-old male neighbor was firing high-powered rifle rounds into her home.
