HOUGHTON — The brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) will host the Tub Push philanthropy fundraiser supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. From 8 a.m. Wednesday through 12:00 a.m. Thursday, the group will work in teams of three to push a bathtub in a loop through Michigan Tech’s campus. A donation of $5 sponsors one loop, but any amount is appreciated. The mission of this event is to raise funds to support life-saving research and treatment for children battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. HANCOCK – Few details were available Friday morning regarding a three-vehicle crash on at the intersection of Elevation Street and North Lincoln Drive, that caused traffic to slow to a crawl while the vehicles were removed and the scene was cleared. At approximately 7:58 a.m., Hancock City Police officers responded to a call from one of the drivers involved in the accident, Becky Ylitalo, administrative assistant at the police department, said. Slippery conditions were blamed on the incident. No additional details were available at press time Friday.
