Houghton man wins ultimate outdoor ‘trip of a lifetime’

BRANSON, Mo. — A Houghton resident is on the trip of a lifetime in Branson, MO, enjoying five days of rustic beauty and outdoor bliss.

Scott Carlborn is one of just 25 grand prize winners across the country in the Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper Ultimate Outdoor Adventure sweepstakes. Carlborn works as a technician at Goodwin Motors in Houghton, a customer of Auto Value of Houghton.

Carlborn and a guest were flown out to Branson, where they’re staying in their own private cabin at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake. As a part of their first-class experience, they will have the opportunity to golf on signature Jack Nicklaus course Top of the Rock, access to an exclusive bass fishing tournament, Lost Canyon Trail tours, lavish meals, receptions and much more.

“We are very excited for this truly unique experience,” said JC Washbish, vice president of marketing for the Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper program group, “We saw record participation numbers in these sweepstakes and will be happy to deliver the trip of a lifetime to these lucky and valued customers.”

Professional technicians around the country were entered into the sweepstakes by purchasing parts from their Auto Value or Bumper to Bumper supplier. Every $150 invoice between March 1 and April 30 equaled one entry into the sweepstakes. Entries for the Ultimate Outdoor Adventure were record-setting, hitting nearly 200,000. Winners were randomly selected at the beginning of April and again in mid-May.
