KNA car raffle in its last week

Keweenaw Natural Areas (KNA) is raffling off a brand new 2019 Subaru CrossTrek AWD Utility Vehicle. The prize includes the car plus tax and license paid, plus money to pay the IRS gift tax (total value $32,500).

Tickets cost $100 each and only 1,000 tickets will be sold. There are cash prizes for 2nd through 5th prizes, so the odds of winning the car are 1 in 1,000 and the odds of winning a prize are 1 in 200.

Need not be present to win, and need not be local to play (the car will be delivered to the winner anywhere in the continental US!).

The drawing is Monday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m.

The proceeds go towards buying “The Missing Linkage” parcel: 546 acres with 3,100′ of Lake Superior frontage and 7,882′ of the Gratiot River. Public access is guaranteed as the Gratiot River Road runs through the length of the parcel to the lake.

There are 3 ways to buy a ticket:

1. Stop by the Ahmeek Streetcar Station (4 miles north of Calumet on US Hwy 41) any day between noon and 8 p.m.

2. Mail a check ($100 per ticket) to KNA, PO Box 124, Calumet MI 49913. Needs to arrive by Saturday, Oct 12. You will receive an email receipt including a picture of your ticket stub.

3. Call 906-370-9022 and buy with a credit card noon to 8 p.m. daily. All missed calls and messages will be returned.
