To the editor:

I am writing to urge all fellow Houghton County residents to vote to elect Justin Kasieta as our next County clerk.

I met Justin as he was knocking on doors in my neighborhood, listening to our concerns with county operations and issues and introducing himself to the voters.

In the months since his visit I have gotten to know him better and witnessed his character to be diligent in responding to citizens and understanding the issues facing our community thorough and punctual in doing what he says. I have observed that he is courteous and fair with everyone he deals with regardless of their affiliations or status.

Being the son of State Representative Stephen Dresch, I have seen first hand how these qualities of honesty, integrity and accountability in our elected officials can make a difference in the lives of the people and Justin has the energy, principles and capability to serve us in the county.

I also know the smears and lies that are aimed at people of principle who want to make positive change in government by those with vested interests in maintaining their power and the status quo as Justin has experienced in the unfounded attacks on his character in retaliation for his patriotic campaign.

Please vote Justin Kasieta for Houghton County Clerk/Register of Deeds.
