Calumet Theatre presents ‘The Suitcase’
The Calumet Theatre presents “The Suitcase,” a blend of storytelling and music, portraying a family’s experience through the Holocaust and new life in America, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.
In this performance, musician Tim Lorsch tells the story of the immigrant experience. Lorsch has created a special evening of stories and music to share how his family fled Germany and established a new life in America. Lorsch’s original score is performed live with looping technology on violin, octave violin and cello.
Lorsch, the first-born son of Jewish parents who fled Nazi Germany, is a Nashville-based producer, session player, arranger and songwriter.
