ASHLAND, Wis. — It was a hard-fought game as the Finlandia University women’s hockey team (0-9) lost 3-0 to Northland (1-6-1), Monday night at the Bay Area Civic Center. Finlandia almost scored first as sophomore Michaela Powers had a shot saved at the last moment with 3:04 gone.  Sophomore Laney Pasemko kept the Lions in the game with several great saves. Lions bring out SISU in loss to Green Knights DE PERE, Wis. – It was 60 minutes of SISU as the Finlandia University men’s hockey team (0-4 NCHA, 0-6-1) took a hard fought 3-1 loss to No. 4 St. Norbert (4-0 NCHA, 5-0-1), Saturday afternoon at Cornerstone Center. Lions fall short of Big Reds HOLLAND, Mich. – Junior Natalie Bartle had a double-double as the Finlandia University women’s basketball team (2-3) lost 84-80 to Denison (1-2), Saturday afternoon at DeVos Fieldhouse. Natalie Bartle was named to the All-Hope College Tournament team. The team played tight throughout the whole first period. Finlandia held the lead for the first eight minutes. Lions men earn split on road with win over Knights

Finlandia crowns the Knights NEW ULM, Minn. — It was a nail bitter as the Finlandia University men’s basketball team (2-3) beat Martin Luther (0-5) 94-91, Saturday afternoon at LSC Gymnasium. It was the first win over MLC since Feb. 10, 2017. Martin Luther came out strong and led 16-8 at the 14:04 mark. Finlandia came back with a 15-7 run.
