Michigan Tech brings back 10 point scorers from last year’s GLIAC T&F Championships.

Anna Schueller will look to bring points to the Huskies from the women’s pole vault, where she ranks seventh in the league with her season-opener height of 11-10. She finished seventh last year after clearing 11-1.

Ashley Plum will have a busy championship meet running the 200m, 400m and a leg of the 4x400m relay. She placed seventh in the 200m dash a season ago, running personal-bests of 25.68 for 200m and 58.88 in the 400m.

Sam Lange will look to repeat as a podium finisher, taking runner-up honors in the 1,500m behind teammate Clayton Sayen, who won the event for the second-consecutive championships while lowering his meet record with his winning time of 3:47.22 in 2023.

Nik Thomas, who has lowered his personal-best in the 1,500m this season to 3:54.49, will look to improve on his sixth-place finish in the metric mile from a season ago.

Kyle Samluk and Callen Carrier scored points for the Huskies in the 3,000m steeplechase last season. Samluk took bronze a season ago as Carrier placed seventh. The two rank fourth and sixth, heading into the GLIAC championships.

The Huskies are looking to score points from Ryan Schwiderson, who claimed 11 points at last season’s championship in the 100m, 200m and the opening leg of the runner-up 4x400m relay, will race the 100m, 400m and the 4x400m relay this championship. He holds the fourth-fastest 400m time this season, clocking 49.49 at the Mustang Distance Carnival & Open.

In the field events, the Black & Gold will look to earn points from Landon Cosby and Max Messina in the pole vault and discus, where the duo scored points for the Huskies last year.
