ISHPEMING — The Ishpeming Township Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at approximately 8:39 a.m. Monday on County Road GGT, also known as Red Road. The investigation revealed that there was a 1989 Jeep traveling west on County Road GGT near Clark Creek. The Jeep began to lose control on a corner and entered the tree line down an embankment. The driver of the Jeep had to be extricated by 131 Technical Rescue Personnel. The driver, a 48-year-old male of Ishpeming, was transported to UP Health System – Marquette.
