Thank you, golfers

To the editor:

On behalf of the Kermit’s Keweenaw Kids Youth Program we would like to sincerely thank each and every one of the golfers and supporters who contributed to the Golf Scramble Fundraiser that took place at the Sandy Pebbles Golf Course, Ahmeek, on July 25. All proceeds will be used to help fund our youth programs.

Our deepest appreciation to Bruce (Cukie) Coppo for the effort that he put forth in raising donations as well as running the tournament, and to his wife Sandy, for sharing him with us on her birthday! His continued support of the Kermit’s Keweenaw Kids Youth Program has contributed significantly to the ability to provide significant and on-going youth activities. We are deeply grateful for his support. In addition, a special thanks to Rick Isaacson/Sandy Pebbles Golf Course, for hosting the tournament (and in addition, generously donating the green fees to Kermit’s Kids.) In past years the tournament was hosted by the late Neil Isaacson, who is missed, and will always be remembered as one of our big-hearted supporters. Thanks also to Joe Takacs and the staff at Sandy Pebbles, and to Keith and Nancy DeForge for their assistance at the tournament.

And last, but not least, a huge heartfelt thanks to our community of contributors and every single one of the golfers who came out (on an unbelievably hot day) to support Kermit’s Kids!

Your support is deeply appreciated.
