Trail reminders

The Keweenaw ATV Club would like to remind everyone that the Lake Linden Trail is still closed! It will remain closed until all the repairs are completed. Also remember that the Bete Grise preserve is a NONmotorized preserve. Please stay out of it. We are also getting complaints from Rice Lake and other areas, of riders causing problems for private property owners. If this continues we could lose trails. Faith Perspective: Mankind’s downfall

This letter is in response to a recent writer desiring an explanation of why God allows evil to exist of planet Earth. Obviously, this person looks only for sinful results in both the Bible and our world to support his anti-God belief. It doesn’t contradict the Bible to say the universe is millions of years old. Mindless natural forces didn’t create something from nothing. God is the creator. On Jan. 6, 2021, during the attack on the US Capitol Vice President Mike Pence inspired me and hundreds of thousands of Americans because he was “too honest” to attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Parade season etiquette

Parade season is upon us and I’d like to ask our community to behave with respect for those in the parades and for those around them. In the past few years, some parade watchers have decided it’s okay to shout foul language at groups marching in the parade. You don’t have to like every organization or business who decides to take part in the parade. But it is not okay to shout obscenities at them. Especially when there are hundreds of children around.
